Where it all began

How it started…

In March of 2011, Lisa and Ken MacMurchy opened what would be the first of many Brewed Awakening locations, with the vision of creating a quality locally owned and operated coffee shop. In 2015, Brewed Awakening grew and expanded the number of locations in the Regina area. A dedicated kitchen space was also purchased, allowing a centralized location to supply each of the stores with fresh baking and food items daily.

…versus how it’s going

There are currently three Brewed Awakening locations now open in Regina, growing and expanding within the city as well as in business direction. When faced with challenges over the last couple of years, as most small businesses did, Brewed saw an opportunity to not become defeated by shifts in the world, but instead to diversify our business.

To kick off 2022, BRWD Bagel Co. was introduced to the Queen City - bagel sandwiches made fresh to order out of our location on Woodhams Drive (East).
